Sea Otter Viewing

Add a sea otter viewing half day trip with Coastal Rainforest Safaris before or after you join us kayaking.

Leaving from Port Hardy, on this 3 ½ to 4 hour tour you will specifically go in search of the sea otters who are making a comeback in the area. You may see solo sea otters bobbing around in the ocean, or rafts of them all together. Your guides are also on the lookout for other wildlife such as  humpback whales, Dalls’ porpoises, Pacific white-side dolphins, Steller sea lions, bald eagles and a multitude of sea birds. We strive to see all the animals but as with all wildlife cannot guarantee it. Your experienced guides offer guests an immersive nature experience told from a unique, Indigenous perspective that explores our connection to the land and sea, the wildlife, and the history that makes the area what it is now.
